i
SITE CLOSURE
The following site conditions support site.closure:
1 -
The source of the contamination, the oil supply line and the overspill from filling of the
former UGT, were removed.
k
2) The extent of the soil contamination, the stockpiled soil from above the remove UGT and
the soil excavated from the area of P7, has been fully assessed.
3) The contaminants are heavy end hydrocarbons, diesel and oil. These contaminants are
relatively insoluble, immobile,.and tend to adsorb to soil. The fuel component of most
environmental concern, Benzene, was not detected.' The limited levels of Toluene, Ethyl
Benzene, and Xylene detected in the soil are not of environmental concern.
4) The total volume of contamination in.the soil is limited. An estimated 2 gallon of diesel
and one gallon of oil were present in the soil.
5) The types of contam-ination, diesel and oil; and level of contamination, are readily
amenable to natural biodegradation
6) There is approximately 40 feet of separation between the deepest backfilled soil, at an
-approximate maximum depth of 10 feet and the ground water and a depth of 50 feet.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely,
IS)
David Lespei ce N0. 1743,
Signal Geoscience Q CERTIFIm
ENGINEERING
IEOLOGPT
Attachment
Table EXP.
Figure 1, Site Location 0
Figure 2, Soil Sample Location
a
1990 PICCOLI ROAD,STOCKTON CLOSURE
PAGE '
