We want to tit) whatever we cat,to comply with your
requirements to protect our ground water while at the same time evaluate the necessity to
rennediate areas which may Iiot hose a threat to the environment.
The following'stinunarizes the site information to date:
1 . THE UST REMOVAL SAMPLES. .
On September 25, one double wzl! .0,(M gallon UST was removed along with the
5-gU11011 overspill contaim-new. Upon removal of the tank; Advanced Grotnvironinental
obtained three soil samples from approximately 14 feet below ground surface. The
McGampbell Analytical Laboratory report shows each of these sarnples (T 1.T2. T3)to be
Nett-Detecf for each analysis performed (-TPHd and 13TEX).
2. TANK REMOVAL ST()UC'KPILED S011—
During Lhe rcn oval of the tank, approximately 130 tons c)f soil watt stockpiled adjacent to
the excavatio((and separated into twa Separate piles. Four stockpile samples were
obtained from'each stockpile (SP 1-8). Norte of these samples showed any Benzene and
only one sample showed actionable level%of TPHd. We approximate this,sample to
represent 14 15 tons of soil.
Due to the apparent low levels of contamination. this soil wits backfilled and compacted
into the former tank excavation.
