Nickerson, Senior Project Engineer <br /> Unocal Corporation AMG <br /> 8788 Elk Grove Blvd. <br /> Building 3, Suite 15 <br /> Elk Grove, California 95624 <br /> Subject.- Assurance Bonding for Proposed Monitoring Wells Near Fromer PureGro Facility at <br /> 9205North BroadwayAvenue,Stockton,California;Sierra-PacifcProjectNo. 95-055.02 <br /> Dear Mr. Nickerson: <br /> Sierra-Pacific Group(Sierra-Pacific)proposes to install three nested monitoring wells(MW-15 A/B,MW-16 <br /> A/B, and MW-17 A/B) in street areas west(down-gradient) of the former PureGro Stockton facility. The <br /> well locations are shown on an enclosed figure. Pending California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) approval, Sierra-Pacific will use an existing well installation work plan. Unocal, San Joaquin <br /> County, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) received copies of the <br /> installation work plan in 2000. <br /> The nested monitoring well locations are described as follows: <br /> ■ Nested-Well MW-15 A/B - A nested monitoring well (MW-15 A/B) will be installed in the <br /> southbound lane of Sutro Avenue, approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of Waterloo <br /> Road, Stockton. <br /> ■ Nested-Well MW-16 A/B - A nested monitoring well (MW-16 AB) will be installed in the <br /> southbound lane of Myran Avenue, approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of Waterloo <br /> Road, Stockton. <br /> ■ Nested-Well MW-17 A/B - A nested monitoring well (MW-17 AB) will be installed in the <br /> southbound lane of Sutro Avenue,approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of Lewis Street, <br /> Stockton. <br /> Sierra-Pacific has received oral approvals from the San Joaquin County Public Works and Environmental <br /> Health Departments. The County Public Works Department requires three individual$2,000 financial <br /> assurance bonds for each of the nested wells MW-15, MW-16, and MW-17.
