Any drainage control system (i.e. french drain, collection sumps, <br /> etc.) shall be inspected for damaged sections, debris, vegetation, and other conditions <br /> which could be detrimental to the system's operation. The cover slopes shall be <br /> inspected for erosion, settlement, or subsidence, and burrowing activities from rodents or <br /> other small animals or other conditions which may necessitate replacement of disturbed <br /> asphalt. In addition, the Discharger shall estimate the remaining life of the asphaltic <br /> concrete cover. <br /> The caps were designed for an approximate 10-year life-span. Therefore, the 30 October <br /> 2006 report shall also contain plans and a timeline for re-capping the former evaporation <br /> ponds. This requirement may be waived by the Executive Officer if it is shown that the <br /> waste management units no longer have the potential to impact water.quality. <br />
