The site is bordered on the East by
Not-thwoods Avenue, to the North by a grocery store and small
shopping complex, to the West by a fast-food restaurant, and to the
South by Yosemite Avenue. The surface is of low topographic relief and slopes gently
to the southwest. Surface runoff flows into on-site drains (Figure
2) , and from there into storm sewers on Yosemite Avenue and
Northwoods Drive. The service station lot is paved with asphalt
except in the vicinity of the pump islands and underground storage
tanks (USTs) , where the surface is concrete.
Moore Petroleum, Inc. leases the site to Mr. Frank Guinta, Sr. ,
who has operated the site for the past ten years as a gas
station/convenience store. Gasoline USTs at the site were removed
and replaced in November, 1989. The locations of both the new and
- replaced USTs at the site are shown on Figure 2.
