Locations of the wells proposed herein are based, in part, on this data. SITE SAFETY PLAN A Site Safety Plan (SSP) has been prepared and will be on site during all field activities. All on site work will be conducted in accordance with the SSP. A copy of the SSP is included as Attachment A. The SSP contains information on the properties of the hazardous materials known to be on site. This information is squivatent to that contained within the Material Safety Data Sheets. SOIL BORING AND SOIL. SAMPLING Prior to drilling, Underground Services Alert (IDSA)will be notified to identify the locations of underground utilities entering the site. The proposed soil borings will be drilled at the approximate locations shown on the Site Map, Figure 2. Drilling will be performed in accordance with Aegis' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Attachment B. The borings to be completed as groundwater monitoring wells are proposed to be drilled to a depth of approximately thirty-five (35) feet below grade. During drilling, the subsurface soils and alluvial materials of the unsaturated zone will be sampled/screened at approximately 5-foot intervals in accordance with Aegis' SOP. The samples will be described according to the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) and Aegis' SOP. _ Retrieved soil samples will be screened in the field by a portable photoionization detector (PID) to assist in sample selection for laboratory analysis. The soil samples selected for analytical testing will be delivered under chain-of-custody to a state-certified analytical -- laboratory according to Aegis' SOP. All drilling and soil sampling equipment will be cl, aned prior to first use, and between - borings, to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination. Rinsewater will be stored temporarily on site in DOT approved 55-gallon drums, pending laboratory analysis of water samples. Following receipt of the laboratory results, the rinsewater will be transported from the site to an appropriate disposal facility. The selected soil samples will be analyzed for concentrations of: a) total purgeable w petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline (TPPH); b) benzene, toluene, xylenes, and ethylbenzene (BTX&E) and c) ethylene dibromide and 1.2-dichloroethane (EDB & EDC), by CAL DHS DRAFT TPH (modified) and EPA Method 8240 (GC/MS).
