Ng <br />, r <br /> t <br /> MUFK)SM WORK PLAN FOR UMMI)ADOnIONAL 57LASSESSMENT <br /> 1399 Coal Yosemite Averu Manteca,California <br /> 1�l Based on the information provided by the assessment., Aegis will evaluate the need for <br /> further investigation (if necessary) and/or provide a Problem Assessment Report. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located on the ncrthwest corner of the intersection of Bast Yosemite Avenue <br /> and Northwoods Avenue in the City of Manteca,San Joaquin County,California. The site <br /> is presently the location of an operating service station/mini-mart owned by Moore <br /> Petroleum, Inc., and leased to Mr. Frank Guinta, Sr. The station retails regular-leaded, <br /> regular-unleaded and super-unleaded gasolines. Site facilities include a building, two <br /> dispenser islands and three underground storage tanks (USTs) with associated product <br /> piping. The UST's are located to the east of the dispenser islands and were removed and <br /> replaced in November of 1989. A site location map and site map are included as <br /> Figures 1 and 2. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The property was purchased by Moore Petroleum, Inc.,approximately 13 year ago. The <br /> site is currently leased from Moore Petroleum by Mr. Frank Guinta,Jr. who has operated <br /> the mini mart/retail gasoline station for the past 12 years. <br /> Work performed at the site by previous consultants included investigations by Earth <br /> Treatment Systems,Inc. (ETS), Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc. (Delta),and Nations <br /> Groundwater Associates (NGA). <br /> Work completed through November 1988 by ETS,included the drilling of four soil borings. <br /> Soil boring 4 was converted into groundwater monitoring well MW-1. Soil and <br /> groundwater samples were collected and submitted for analytical testing and an <br /> Environmental Preliminary Site Assessment was prepared. <br /> Work completed through July 1989 by Delta included drilling of two soil borings which <br /> were completed as groundwater monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3. Soil and groundwater <br /> samples were collected and submitted for analytical testing. Groundwater levels were <br /> measured and groundwater flow direction and hydraulic gradient were calculated. A <br /> Preliminary H dro eolo is Assessment Report, dated July 25, 1989, was prepared. <br /> Work completed through September 1990 by Nations Groundwater Associates by <br /> included abandonment of MW-1 and drilling/completion of MW-1A. Soil and groundwater <br /> samples were collected and submitted for analytical testing. Groundwater levels were <br /> measured and groundwater flow direction and hydraulic gradient were calculated.
