Guild Ave. Lodi, CA 95240 <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste inspection. <br />7. 583 type adhesive wastes are being recycled with the manufacturer without first determining <br />hazardous properties. The shop rags contaminated with solvent based inks are being given to Aramark <br />for laundry service without first determining hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste <br />shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop recycling the 583 type adhesive <br />wastes and giving the shop rags contaminated with solvent based inks to Aramark for laundry service. <br />Make a hazardous waste determination for the 583 type adhesive wastes and shop rags contaminated <br />with solvent based inks, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a <br />statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes are managed by 6-13-11. <br />Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />20. In the screen prep room, the satellite drum of hazardous waste ink did not have marked on it the <br />composition (contents) nor the hazardous waste property. During the inspection the employee marked <br />the drum with contents and hazardous property. In the hazardous waste storage area the drum of <br />hazardous waste paint sludge did not have marked on it the accumulation start date nor the hazardous <br />waste property. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers of hazardous waste are marked with <br />all the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the drum of hazardous waste paint <br />sludge has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this <br />waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 6-13-11. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />27. In the screen prep room, the satellite drum of hazardous waste ink did not have the lid shut closed to <br />keep the volatile organic compounds from escaping. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at <br />all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close this container shut and ensure all <br />hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />60 & 63. Copies of hazardous waste disposal records for used oil were not found on site.
