Correct immediately by containerizing all UW lamps and manage all <br /> UW per Title 22 Hazardous Waste Regulations. <br /> 808. Two containers of universal waste(UW) lamps in the northern storage area of the facility were not <br /> labeled as universal waste lamps. The container of used batteries was not marked as "Universal Waste- <br /> Battery(ies)". A UW handler shall label or mark UW to identify the type of UW. Lamps(i.e., each lamp), or <br /> a container or package in which the lamps are contained, shall be labeled or marked clearly with the <br /> following phrase: "Universal Waste-Lamp(s)". Batteries (i.e., each battery), or a container in which the <br /> batteries are contained, shall be labeled or marked clearly with the following phrase: "Universal Waste- <br /> Battery(ies)". Correct immediately marking all containers of UW to identify type of UW. Continue to <br /> ensure that all UW on site is marked and managed per Title 22 Hazardous Waste Regulations. <br /> 809. Facility did not demonstrate when three containers of UW lamps and the container of UW batteries <br /> in storage area of the facility became a UW. A UW handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of <br /> time that the UW has been accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. The UW <br /> handler may make this demonstration by: <br /> (1) Placing the UW in a container and marking or labeling the container with the earliest date that any <br /> UW in the container became a waste or was received; <br /> (2) Marking or labeling the individual item or UW with the date it became a waste or was received; <br /> (3) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the date the UW being accumulated became a <br /> waste or was received; <br /> (4) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the earliest date that any UW in a group of <br /> items of UW or a group of containers of UW became a waste or was received; <br /> (5) Placing the UW in a specific accumulation area and marking or labeling the area to identify the <br /> earliest date that any UW in the area became a waste or was received; or <br /> (6) Any other method which clearly demonstrates the length of time that the UW has been accumulated <br /> from the date it became a waste or was received. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how <br /> each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation, by 6-9-14. <br /> A copy of the San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility brochure was provided to the <br /> facility operator. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECTJ9 REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: Received By: Title: <br /> Aris Veloso (209) 468-3453 <br /> EHD 23-02-003 Rev 04/19/12 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
