Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #21 Hot and Cold Potable Water Not Available MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:MAJOR: Facility lacked hot water at the start of the inspection (12:55p). Hot water at the 3-comp sink, <br /> hand sinks, and mop sink is 65F. The wiring at the tankless hot water heater was disconnected. Immediately provide hot <br /> water of 120F(minimum)to avoid closure. Hot water was restored at 1:30pm. Corrected on site. <br /> The water was turned off at the 1 comp prep sink at the start of the inspection. Maintain water turned on at all sinks at all <br /> times. Correct today. Corrected on site. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An adequate,protected,pressurized,potable supply of hot water and cold water shall be provided at all times. <br /> (113953(c), 114099.2(b) 114101(a), 114189, 114192, 114192.1, 114195) <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed rat droppings on various items at the shelving under the front counter, on the floor in the front <br /> and rear dry goods storage rooms, on the floor by the ice machine, on top of paper towel box in the front storage room, on <br /> top of bulk food containers and bulk food buckets, under the soda syrup rack in the front storage room, on top of the walk-in <br /> cooler, on top of the 2 door Coke reach-in cooler, in a box of salt packets, on top of bags of bulk food, on top of the lockers, <br /> in the lockers and on the upper shelving in the rear dry goods storage room. <br /> There is a strong odor of urine and possibly a deceased rodent by the ice machine and a strong odor of urine by the rear <br /> storage area. Clean all surfaces thoroughly. Pull all equipment back and clean under and around. <br /> Observed gnaw marks on bags of bulk food (sugar)and nonfood items(blue paper boats used for tortilla chips) <br /> Discard these items. <br /> Facility closed at 1 pm <br /> Immediately clean up all rodent droppings throughout. Clean and sanitize affected areas.While cleaning, discard any items <br /> that have been gnawed on/contaminated, wash rinse and sanitize any soiled food contact surfaces, and inspect premises <br /> for openings that may allow entrance of vectors. <br /> Facility was serviced by Clark Pest Control on 1-14-19 and on 1-18-19.
