Direct push drilling will be used to collect down-gradient water samples from first encountered water. Anon-site <br /> lab will be used to analyze the samples and the information utilized to determine the best locations for shallow wells <br /> that will define the lateral extent of the shallow contaminant plume in the down-gradient direction. <br /> 2. A minimum of two deep ( 110-feet) borings will be advanced by hollow stem auger drilling. One boring will be <br /> advanced up-gradient and at least one boring will be advanced down gradient of the source areas. A simulprobe will <br /> be utilized to collect depth discrete water samples,beginning at 110-feet bsg. The on-site lab will analyze the samples <br /> and the data obtained will be used to determine the locations for additional deep,discretely screened,wells. <br /> 3. Analysis of soil and groundwater samples for TPF%,TPHd,BTEX,MtBE and seven fuel oxygenates and 1,2-DCA <br /> and EDB by EPA Method 8260. <br /> 4. Abandonment by-over-drilling and replacement of MW-7,the deep-screened well which appears to be compromised. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Submit an updated map to PHS/El D that shows the proposed locations for both the deep and the shallow <br /> borings/well locations. Note that shallow soil and/or groundwater data already exists from the north side of <br /> Jackson Ave.,no more is needed at this time. Any further soil sampling does not need to begin above 40-feet bsg. <br /> 2. Obtain necessary permits from the City of Stockton for borings proposed to be advanced in the city right of ways. <br /> 3. Submit a well permit application and required$89.00 permit fee to PHS/EHS for both the on-site and the off-site <br /> borings. <br /> 4. Submit a well permit application and required$60.00 permit fee to PHS/EHD for the destruction of MW-7. <br /> 5.
