Lodi Ready Mix Page 3
Site Closure Report
Appendix D
May 12,1995
' 8) Zone of influence of the remedial action was defined by the finished
dimensions of the excavation and confirmed by sampling.
' 9) The excavation activity was successful in removing most of the
contaminated sediments as indicated by the confirmation samples. The mass
balance performed in item 6 indicates that only a slight amount remains.
10) Conditions at the site include a concrete pad over the former UST
excavation area which will prevent surface water from percolating down
through the remaining impacted sediments. Furthermore there exists at least
a 15 foot buffer between the impacted sediments and the highest known
' instance of groundwater. Negative pore space capillary pressure will most
probably prevent downward migration as the remaining impacted sediments
are several orders of magnitude below saturation levels.
1
Ipt
1
