?. San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
N ^'` Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 3/1/2015 to,F 6/21/2034 for 000040989 located at
_pR -
1050 DIAMOND ST
Activity Date Recorded by
01/27/2016 A pipe failed resulting in the release of approximately 1500 gallons of processed PE 2546 VELOSO
waste from a food processing facility. The release entered a storm water pipe SC 544
which leads to Mormon Slough. The release is contained and clean up is in
progress.
On site to verify the spill complaint. Met with Robert Castro, Director of
Engineering and Walnut Operations. It was verified during the inspection that the
source of the leak has been stopped. The released waste water is in the process
of being collected and placed into totes on site. Robert explained that the waste
water is generated from cooking the nuts and then washing out the equipment that
the nuts were cooked in. A pH test resulted in a reading that closely resembled a
pH of seven. Robert explained that the spilled waste water will be put back into
their waste water treatment plant on site to be processed and then discharged
under permit to the City of Stockton POTW.
James Baugus Game Warden/Wildlife Officer was also on site.
No further action is required at this time.
01/28/2016 Updated the complaint record and completed the photo log.
