Diamond St. Clrr: Stockton ZIP CODE: 95205 <br /> OWNER/OPERATOR: Diamond TELEPHONE#: (209) 467-6000 <br /> PROGRAM TYPE OF INSPECTION: ❑COMPLAINT ❑CONSULTATION N OTHER ELEMENT: ER DP oRD <br /> NATURE OF COMPLAINT/CONSULTATION: <br /> A pipe failed resulting in the release of approximately 1500 of processed waste from a food <br /> processing facility. The release entered a storm water pipe which leads to Mormon Slough. The <br /> release is contained and clean up is in progress. <br /> OBSERVATIONS/COMMENTS: <br /> On site to verify the spill complaint. Met with Robert Castro, Director of Engineering and Walnut <br /> Operations. It was verified during the inspection that the source of the leak has been stopped The <br /> released waste water is in the process of being collected and placed into totes on site. Robert <br /> explained that the waste water is generated from cooking the nuts and then washing out the <br /> equipment that the nuts were cooked in. A pH test resulted in a reading that closely resembled a pH <br /> of seven. Robert explained that the spilled waste water will be put back into their waste water <br /> treatment plant on site to be processed and then discharged under permit to the City of Stockton <br /> POTW. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br /> No further action at this time is required at this time. <br /> Time spent on this issue may be billed at the SJCEHD's current hourly rate. <br /> CORRECT BY: <br /> INSPECTED BY: <br /> RECEIVED BY: \r\j I /.
