Excavation History: On January 31 , 1992, Jim Thorpe Oil , Inc. , dba { <br /> Rich-Mart Construction, removed one 1 ,000 gallon underground gasoline <br /> tank at the above address. The ,tank was in good condition and .free <br /> from holes caused by corrosion. Upon removal of the tank from the <br /> excavation, soil discoloration was noted at the fill end of the tank. <br /> Soil samples were taken by a GeoAnalyti.cal laboratories representative <br /> at the direction of Carol Oz of San Joaquin Health Services/Environ- <br /> w <br /> mental Health Division. One sample was taken at each end of the tank <br /> pit. The West sample was taken at a depth of 8 feet from native. soil . <br /> This sample showed no soil discoloration and had no odor. A sample <br /> was taken at the East end of the pit at a depth. of 10 feet from native <br /> soil and showed no discoloration and had no odor. The spoil pile was <br /> sampled from a location containing some of the discolored soil removed <br /> while excavating the tank. It had some odor of hydrocarbon.
