Item 623: The CALAMCO facility is a "secure and restricted" area as defined by the
requirements of Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 105. Entry to the facility is
dictated by the Facility Security Plan which is controlled under 49 CFR, Parts 15 and
1520. Access is not open to the public and personnel requesting access must have an
authorized reason to be in the facility. Oil storage areas are further controlled by the
requirement for "escorted" access only. Security lighting survey conducted on June 30,
2017 to ensure compliance with 29 CFR General Industry Safety Orders minimum
illumination requirements (report filed in CALAMCO terminal office).
Item 706: Waste oil tank removed from service (see 604 above). Future generation of
waste oil (on average less than 200 gallons semiannually) will be stored in 55-gallon
drums and disposed of appropriately. See item 613 regarding generator fuel tank.
Item 710: Contract Professional Engineer contacted regarding evaluation of diesel
storage tank. Evaluation included stress analysis using API 650 guidelines. Report
dated January 12, 2019 states that "...tank meets all safety standards and is safe to
operate as diesel storage." Report available at CALAMCO.
Item 726: Overfill prevention for diesel storage consists of a visual level indicator visible
to the operator delivering the fuel. The storage tank capacity is 20,000 gallons,
company policy requires that 12,000 gallons is the maximum capacity permitted in the
vessel.
Martin P.
