A <br /> ' pump will then be attached and groundwater is pumped out until it flows clear. A sample is <br /> then collected. <br /> ' Groundwater samples will be carefully pl ced in either a 40 mil. VOA or a 1 liter glass <br /> bottle, depending on analysis. Samples wite <br /> be collected to insure no bubbles are present in <br /> the sample bottle. The sample bottles will labeled with a unique identification and placed <br /> ' in an ice chest for transport,under chain of custody, to the laboratory. <br /> 2.3 Sample Analyses <br /> It is proposed that a total of 12 to 24 soil samples, one from each borehole, and one <br /> groundwater sample be submitted for the following analyses: <br /> ' Soil samples will be submitted to a California State Certified Laboratory and analyzed for <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX by EPA method 8020), total extractable <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons analyses (TEPH-D esel, Kerosene, Dielectric & Motor Oils, by EPA <br /> method 3540/8015m) and halogenated solvents by EPA method 8010.
