Former Lyoth Loading Station - 3- 26 August 2009
Lyoth Offsite
Central Valley Water Board staff concur that, based on the results of previous
soil/groundwater investigations, health risk screening assessments and comments by OEHHA,
and the HIRE findings, the presence of residual petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and
groundwater at the former Lyoth Loading Station and Lyoth Offsite properties would not
present a threat to human health for future residents and/or construction/trench workers.
Details of the site assessments are available to interested parties through the GeoTracker
website (https://geotracker.waterboards.ca.gov/search/casesearch.htm) and Central Valley
Water Board case files. The Central Valley Water Board case numbers for Lyoth Loading
Station and Lyoth Offsite are SLO607773512 and SL0607792770, respectively. Interested
parties with questions or comments regarding the sites or the proposed closure can provide
written comments, or contact Dean Hubbard at the above address, by e-mail at
dhubbardawaterboards.ca.gov, or at (559) 445-5179 by 25 September 2009.
