Beckman Rd. <br /> Lodi, CA <br /> Please be advised that this office has reviewed activities to date at the above referenced facility. In 1986, <br /> three underground fuel storage tanks were removed and much of the contaminated soil was excavated. In <br /> 1987, Weiss Associates submitted a Groundwater Investigation Report. Three monitoring wells were <br /> installed and sampled. Contamination was not detected in groundwater samples. However, soil <br /> contamination is present at 31 feet below surface. (Up to 3,800 parts per million (ppm) total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons; xylene, 220ppm; toluene, 79ppm; benzene, 8.7ppm.) <br /> At this time,San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)requests <br /> that quarterly monitoring be reinstated pursuant to Section 2052(d) of the Underground Storage Tank <br /> Regulations (California Administrative Code, Title 23, Subchapter 16). <br /> The quarterly reports shall be submitted to PHS/EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) (monitoring) until the investigation and cleanup is deemed adequate. The reports are <br /> to show the following: <br /> -status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all investigations <br /> completed to date; <br /> -proposed continuing or next phase of investigation; <br /> -method of cleanup proposed or implemented, schedules for the completion of the investigation <br /> of the site and remediation; <br /> -monitoring well data including groundwater elevation, pH, conductivity, gradient; <br /> .analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling; <br /> -a site map showing the "zero line" of contamination, if known, and changes in the above <br /> measurements over the last quarter; and <br /> -method and location of disposal of the contaminated soils and/or groundwater. <br /> (Indicate whether a hazardous waste manifest(s) is utilized.) <br /> If you have any questions, contact Eleanor Ratliff, RENS, at (209)468-3454. <br /> Jogi Khanna D., M.P.H. <br /> Health O c <br /> ,t <br /> urie A.
