Acetone and Jem Strep 427 are being recycled and all required information to claim the exclusion or exemption has not been submitted. The following items were missing from both recyclable material reports:the beginning and end date of the reporting period, the signature of the certifier,the recyclable material number, the quantity during the two year reporting period, and the authorizing provision of HSC Section 25143.2. To claim an exclusion or exemption from classifying this as a waste,the following information shall be submitted every two years: -name, site address, mailing address, and telephone number of the owner or operator of the facility that recycles the material; -name and address of the generator of the recyclable material; -documentation that the requirements of any exemptions or exclusions pursuant to HSC 25143.2 are met. Immediately provide all required information for every recyclable material that you wish to claim the exclusion or exemption and provide that information every two years. If the required information cannot be provided,the materials must immediately be handled as a hazardous waste. This is a repeat violation, Class II. 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. An empty 55 gallon drum labeled "hazardous waste"was stored upside down on a rainy day 10 feet away from a storm drain near the outside power washing area. Solid waste was observed near the drum. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean the area and manage it according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. This is a repeat violation, Class II. 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste. Two 55 gallon drums of Excluded Recyclable Material (ERM)labeled acetone were observed without secure lids. One 5 gallon bucket containing oily metal shavings was observed without a lid. If any of these containers fell over,the material would leak out. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. This is a minor violation. 501 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. The 234 gallon hazardous waste tank on the plating line in the north section of the facility was observed without a label. The tank is used to store hazardous waste before going through the pipe to the other side for treatment. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the required information.
