Specifically, for the area between the
outer isoconcentration line and the inner line, please use the outer line value instead of
the inner line value. Groundwater data must be included in the mass volume
determination. The distances used in the volume calculations should be measured in a
conservative and consistent manner.
-A determination of the total volume of each constituent would be helpful, or, possibly,
a total volume of TPH as gasoline and a total volume of all BTEX constituents
combined.
Please provide a reference table of any values used in the calculations from published
sources.
Monitoring wells MW#1 through MW#4 were reportedly repaired recently. The generally
unkempt condition at this site that was observed during the last site visit was discussed. The
improper cleanup of ongoing surface spillage causing further environmental damage could
result in a referral to another agency for follow up.
Kyle Christie stated that he could be contacted directly when problems or questions arise. He
stated that the information is not always transmitted to him.
The quarterly report for this site was submitted at the meeting.
2908 W. Ben Holt, Stockton ARCO Facility #2133
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
The start up of the remediation system at this site was delayed due to last minute design
corrections with the electrical amperage requirements and the stack height. However, the
system is to begin operation on Monday, November 21, 1994, with source testing to be
conducted on Tuesday, November 29, 1994. PHS/EHD will be notified of any schedule
changes and with a specific time.
The sampling of the wells at the site are going to be coordinated with the vapor extraction
system testing to be included in the quarterly reports. This will allow for more consistent and
comparable results. Additionally, the coordinated groundwater sampling between this site and
the Chevron facility across the street should continue after the sampling program returns to
Brown and Caldwell. Kyle Christie recommended that the water level tapes being used at
each site be compared to ensure accuracy with the data.
85 East Louise, Lathrop ARCO Facility #6080
PHS/EHD contact - Linda Turkatte
This site is considered to be a low priority site with respect to the other Arco sites in San
Joaquin County. The third quarter quarterly report is still pending but will be submitted soon.
