!f 1 F ti 1 � `, i \ \ i l t � ' `, `} s ` E \ S r s 1 ♦ ti E i E \ \ l � <br /> ,+ a <br /> 8 <br /> Fluids Encountered in Tankhole <br /> The tanks were emptied prior to tank removal activities No liquid hydrocarbons or <br /> water were observed in the tankhole <br /> Treatment/Disposal of Excavated Soils <br /> The 450 to 500 cubic yards of stockpiled soil was gndded into ten approximately 50 <br /> cubic yard sections Forty four discrete samples were collected by Artesian geologists <br /> on December 9, 1991, Photographs are included in Appendix E Four samples were <br /> collected three feet perpendicular to the stockpile surface for each 50 cubic yard <br /> section The four discrete samples for each section were composited into one sample <br /> and analyzed by a state-certified laboratory,Pace Inc,for TPH-g and BTEX In <br /> addition,one discrete soil sample was collected to be analyzed for reactivity, <br /> corrosivity and ignitability(RCI),one discrete sample was collected and analyzed for <br /> total lead by EPA Method 6010/200 7,and two discrete samples were collected and <br /> analyzed for soluble threshold luTut concentraton(STLC)for lead by EPA Method <br /> 60101200 7 Laboratory data is summarized in Table 2 The laboratory data sheets <br /> and chain-of-custody sheets are included in Appendix F <br /> u Soil disposal was performed by Dillard Trucking Inc of Byron,California on <br /> December, 14, 1991 under the supervision and direction of Artesian Two sections <br /> (approximately 104 cubic yards) had levels of TPH-g up to 120 ppm This material <br /> was removed by state licensed waste hauler,Dillard Trucking Inc of Byron, <br /> 4 California,using a John Deere excavator Four 2O-ton trucks were loaded with this <br /> material and sent to Chemical Waste Management Kettleman City Facility, a licensed <br /> Class II Iandfill Copies of non-hazardous waste data forms(No 6911-6914) are <br /> included in Appendix G The remaining soil stockpile(approximately 364 cubic <br /> yards)was transported by Dillard Trucking using fourteen 20-ton trucks The soils <br /> were transported on December 14, 1991 to B F I Vasco Road Landfill in Livermore, <br /> N° California Copies of the non-hazardous special waste manifests (No 691551- <br /> 691564) are included in Appendix G <br />
