Mountain House CSD - 2 - 7 November 2001
• The 5 September Draft Memorandum prepared by Rich Stowell of ECO:LOGIC titled
"Assessment of Order No. 98-109 Monitoring and Reporting Program"contains some sampling
procedures that should be implemented. In particular, the sampling event in which samples will be
collected and analyzed before and after purging should be implemented. A comparison of the data
should be provided in the next quarterly report. If the data appear to be statistically similar, then
future sample events of the shallow wells will not require purging prior to sample collection. If
not, the shallow wells should be purged and allowed to recover prior to sampling. The recovery
time should not be excessive.
• Changes to the existing MRP shall not be implemented at this time. A revised MRP may be
proposed after the characterization data process is completed.
If you have any questions on this information, please telephone me at(916) 255-3116.
TIMOTHY R.
