A statement to this effect has been enclosed for your
use or you may have your legal counsel suggest additional language to our attorney, Rebecca
Davis (468-2980) for consideration.
I have requested information from the Agricultural Commissioner as to thr, licenses under
which Mr. Schappman operates in handling farm chemicals. Fertilizers are exempt from these regulations.
Finally, I requested an update from the District Attorney's Office regarding possible
action that Office would be taking concerning the Schappman spill. That office will contact you
or you may wish to express your concerns directly to that office.
Very truly yours,
Y G
/ROBER .
