Report of Results <br /> Investigation of Agricultural Chemicals in Soil <br /> PureGro/Hrea Facility <br /> r 1405 North Broadway Ave.,Stockton,CA <br /> Sierra-Pacific Project No.94-055.08 <br /> 4.0 SCOPE OF fNVESTIGATION <br /> IT <br /> The scope of work for this investigation is presented for each area of concern. The locations of the areas <br /> of concern and the locations of soil borings are shown on Figure Eight soil borings were advanced. <br /> Samples were collected in each boring at depths of 5, 10,20, 30, 'and 50 feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> G <br /> 4.1 Areas fnve ti aced <br /> Old Tank Farm <br /> The old tank farm had a concrete curb around its perimeter. Aboveground tanks were placed inside the <br /> concrete curb on a layer of gravel. A gravel corridor separated two lines of tanks. The mix plant pad, <br /> which was a rectangular concrete slab,was located at the east end of the tank farm. The materials stored <br /> in the tanks included fertilizer products, such as 10-34-0, 3-10-10, UAN-32, muriate of potash and aqua <br /> ammonia. No pesticides were formulated for stored in these tanks. Four vertical soil borings were <br /> advanced in the tank farm area. The borings were sampled at 5, 1G,20, 30, and 50 feet bgs. These <br /> f z samples were analyzed for nitrogen as nitrate (N-NO;), for total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), and for <br /> halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs). <br /> Current Wash Rack <br /> l Two vertical borings were advanced, one on each end of the current wash rack area. Samples were <br /> 1 . <br /> collected at 5, 10, 20, 30, and 50 feet bgs in these borings. These samples were analyzed for N-NO3 and <br /> TKN. <br /> i • <br /> Open Area North of Wash Rack <br /> Two vertical soil borings,NSB-7 and NSB-8 were excavated in the area between the new tank farm and <br /> l the current wash rack.
