SCOPE OF WORK
Based on analytical results of soil samples collected during disposal well abandonment, further
investigation is required to delineate the vertical and horizontal hydrocarbon-impact at the site.
- Assessment tasks will consist of the following:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil sample collection and analysis;
• Ground water grab sample collection and analysis. if encountered;
• Monitoring well installation, if necessary;
• Survey and development of monitoring wells;
• Monitoring and sampling of wells; and
w • Report preparation.
3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits wiII be obtained from the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD; a site-
specific health and safety plan is presently on file with the PHS-EHD. Prior to mobilization, each
boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service
Alert.
3.2. SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Initially, AGE proposes to advance four borings at the site to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent
of hydrocarbon impact. Additional borings may be required to completely delineate any impacted
soil encountered. Proposed soil boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2.
Based on soil contamination encountered at the bottom of each disposal well, AGE proposes
advancement of borings in the following locations:
• Between former disposal wells DW-I and DW-2;
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
