19 November 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0604
Page 4 of 10
Approximately 10 feet south of former well DW-1;
• Approximately 20 feet east-northeast of former DW-1; and
• Approximately 20 feet northwest of former DW-3.
Initially, AGE anticipates advancement of each boring to a depth of approximately 60 feet. However,
total depths of soil borings will be based on field observations and field screening using an organic
vapor monitor (OVM). Soil samples will be collected from each boring at five-foot intervals
beginning at a depth of approximately 20 feet bsg to the total depth, Field procedures for
advancement of borings and collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4.1.; collection of
grab ground water samples are presented in Section 4.2.
Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services
(DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents:
• TPH-d (diesel) and TPH-mo (motor oil) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified;
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes in accordance with EPA Method 8020; and
• RCRA 8 Metals (arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium and silver
in accordance with appropriate EPA 6010 and 7000 series.
3.3. IN`-SITU GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
During the soil assessment activities, depth-discrete ground water samples will be collected from
each of the soil borings, if possible. In-situ ground water sample collection procedures are presented
— in Section 4.2.
Selected ground water samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the following
constituents:
• TPH-d (diesel) and TPH-mo (motor oil) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified;
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes in accordance with EPA Method 8020;
_ • RCRA 8 Metals(arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium and silver
in accordance with appropriate EPA 6010 and 7000 series.
• Volatile organics in accordance with EPA Method 8260; and
• Semi-Volatile organics in accordance with EPA Method 8270.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental.Inc.
