The inspections were conducted in December
because that is their annual due date. Here is the issue. WRW has been over their tire count consistently for the last two
inspections. The last inspection they had over 212,000 tires. The permit allows them to store 40,000 tires. The idea was
to show up when they did not expect us too. If you do not want to go out until January then fine. We will contact you later
this year and arrange that. Also when we speak of performing
inspections annually,we mean during this fiscal year, not calendar year.
Nikki
From: Benjamin Escotto [EH] [mailto:bescotto@sicehd.com]
Sent:Thursday, August 21, 2014 3:22 PM
To: Castagneto, Nicole@Cal Recycle
Cc: Robert McClellon [EH]
Subject: RE:Scheduling Waste Tire Inspection
Hello Nikki,
The inspection in January of this year was a re-inspection. The routine took place in December 2013. A violation
was issued in the December 2013 inspection and thus a re-inspection took place a month later(January
2014). So no routine inspection was performed this year.
Ben
1
