EHD
is aware that water samples were collected from the site monitoring wells in
September 2006. The results of the testing of these water samples and other
site data are to be submitted to EHD and Geotracker in the form of a quarterly
report by December 1, 2006. Quarterly monitoring and reporting is to continue
until the site is closed.
In May 2006, contaminated soil was excavated from the area where the former
underground storage tanks (UST's) were located. Also, monitoring wells (MW)
1, 2, and 4 were destroyed and replaced during 2006. Reports for this work
have not been submitted to EHD or Geotracker as required by CCR Section
3892. Reports of this work shall be submitted to the EHD and Geotracker by
December 1, 2006.
In January 2002, geoprobe borings 8 and 9 were installed and groundwater
samples were collected from 60 feet below ground surface (bgs). Analytical
results of those ground water samples were positive for petroleum hydrocarbons.
Therefore the vertical extent of groundwater contamination has not been
confirmed. A workplan to investigate the vertical extent of the contamination at
the site should be submitted to EHD by January 2, 2006.
