Documented Report 15-20313 ORIGnt No
San Joa uin Countv Sheriff
Narrative
event that they may need our assistance.
While speaking to (W) TUALLA, he stated that there was a driver for (BSS) MARTEN'S
TRUCKING COMPANY, who was seen carrying a couple gallons of chlorine cleaning solution
inside of the facility and had possibly dumped the solution inside the men's restroom, causing
irritation to staff inside of the office.
(W) TUALLA was unable to provide me with the name of that driver at that time.
I made contact with (W) Glenn RICHARDSON, who advised that he is the Sales Manager for
(BSS) DELTA TRUCK CENTER.
He stated that at approximately 1630 hours to 1700 hours, he was advised that a driver for
(BSS) MARTEN'S TRUCKING COMPANY had brought in a truck for service at their facility
and was seen by other employees carrying approximately three to four gallons of some type of
cleaning solution that he dumped inside the men's restroom located near the main office. He
stated the solution caused irritation throughout the main office, to which several of his
employees' had to leave and go home early after an evacuation was ordered. He stated that
one of his custodians seen someone dumping the fluid inside of the men's restroom, and that
he may have further information for me.
I then made contact with (W) Federico VILDA, who told me that he is the custodian for (BSS)
DELTA TRUCK CENTER.
He stated that he received a call from his main office regarding a bad smell, so he went to
check on it. He stated that as soon as he walked down to the main office, the smell was so
strong that he was unable to open his eyes. When he checked the men's restroom where the
smell came from, he located three empty plastic gallon bottles inside of the trash can, but did
not think anything of it. He then checked the stalls and found some off-white liquid inside one
of the toilet bowls. (W) VILDA stated that when he went to flush the toilet, the bowl was
bubbling as though there was some type of reaction. After flushing the toilet, he left the
building and reported the incident to his manager.
I spoke to (RP) Perry REYNOLDS, who stated that he is the test driver for (BSS) DELTA
TRUCK CENTER.
He told me that while working in the back section of the facility he noticed that there were two
men driving a (BSS) MARTEN'S TRUCKING COMPANY's truck, who got out of the truck and
were carrying approximately three to four gallons of fluid. He stated he did not think anything
of it until he heard additional reports regarding a bad smell inside of the main office.
When he went to check the main office, he noticed that there was a very strong odor of some
kind of chemical that was fuming from the men's restroom. He stated that he then called 9-1-1
and reported the incident to the fire department regarding a possible chemical hazard.
I made contact with (W) Michael DELP, who advised that he is the truck driver for (BSS)
MARTEN'S TRUCKING COMPANY. He provided me with the following statement.
(W) DELP stated that he was scheduled to bring his company's truck for service at (BSS)
DELTA TRUCK CENTER today. He stated that he off loaded his trailer on the side of the road
Report officer Panted At
162619/HER,CHA 2/03/2015 08:35 Page 4 of 5
