'�On or about 1910, <br /> Tidewater oil Company (subsequently purchased by Getty Oil Company <br /> which was subsequently purchased by Texaco) 1commenced operating two <br /> 8" pipelines. These lines ceased operatinglin 1968 , and were <br /> removed by 1974 . The pipelines carried for the most part heavy <br /> crude oil to the Bay Area from the SanJoaquin Valley, and some <br /> residuum oil was transported from the Bay Area to our pump stations <br /> along the pipeline route.
