N BTEX and Fuel Additives: Provide initial discharge sampling with 24 hour turn around to confirm effectiveness of the system. Provide weekly testing for discharge and at the second filter to verify break through. Provide source sampling every two weeks to monitor effectiveness. Lower Explosive Limit: Continuous monitoring with automatic shut off installed to meet the concerns of the City of Stockton. Set auto shut off at 10%threshold. Water Levels: Sound wells weekly. Reporting There will be initial reporting via fax transmittal of test results at start up. Tabulation of weekly monitoring will be reported with quarterly monitoring reports. If there are any discharges in excess of the allowable there will be immediate notification. Filter media exchange in the first two filters will be performed by vacuuming out the carbon granules and replacing with new activated carbon. The direction of flow will then be reversed so that the third filter is always a new filter. Foothill Engineering estimates that it will take 25 days to break through each filter. Quarterly Monitoring Quarterly monitoring of the wells will need to be performed to verify the effectiveness of the extraction well.
