Vogue Cleaners 1 Norman Higgins page 2
2315 N. California St., Stockton.
Please advise your consultant to have the laboratory list all soil data listed in
"mglkg" only and all groundwater data in "Lig/1" only. Your consultant can
inform the laboratory in the "notes" section on 1he Chain of Custody.
Included in your consultant's report was an ex lavation for using EPA Method
8240 instead of EPA Method 8260 for the oxy enates. PHS-EHD will allow this
one time use of 8240 to meet the requirements for testing the oxygenates.
Please be advised that future testing of the oxygenates (post-remedial
confirmation sampling) will require the use of EPA Method 8260. Although no
additional oxygenate groundwater sample analyses is required at this time for
the existing monitoring wells at your site, PHS- HD recommends that you
discuss with your consultant the need to verify the oxygenate presence in the
groundwater at your site with method 8260 for all seven constituents before
entering the remediation phase. The presence of oxygenates in soil or
groundwater from confirmation sampling after 1he completion of remediation
could result in difficulties in obtaining the "No Further Action" certification.
Please have your consultant modify some oft the reporting format. All site maps
are to orient the site with "north" at the top oft the page. TPH-G, TPH-D, and
TPH-SS are present at this site and tables of groundwater and soil results are to
list these constituents separately. Tables that ist "ND" only should have the
detection limit unit (i.e., 0.5 ug/l) listed on the t ble either next to the result or in
the legend. Laboratory identification numbers are not needed in tables.
Please contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-34-54 if you have any questions or
wish to discuss the site.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
,,,C,L /-5 —fyl-,ATn:
Michael J.
