As required by the Occupational Health and Safety <br /> Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120), and by <br /> California Occupational Health and Safety Administration <br /> (Cal-OSHA) "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br /> Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8, Section 5192), SECOR will <br /> prepare a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan prior to the <br /> commencement of fieldwork The Site-Specific Health and Safety <br /> Plan will be reviewed by the field staff and contractors before <br /> beginning field operations at the site and is included as <br /> Attachment B <br /> • Permitting Three encroachment permits have been obtained from <br /> the City of Lathrop An additional three encroachment permits will <br /> be obtained from the City of Lathrop for the soil borings and/or wells <br /> located within the public nght-of-way After securing the <br /> encroachment permits, soil boring and well installation permits will <br /> be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJC-EHD) <br /> • Groundwater Monitoring Wells. Six groundwater monitoring <br /> wells will be installed at locations determined by the Geoprobe® <br /> assessment (Figure 2) Soil borings will be drilled using 8-inch <br /> diameter hollow-stem auger Upon completion of drilling, a 2-inch <br /> diameter groundwater monitoring well will be installed in each <br /> boring Groundwater is anticipated to be encountered at <br /> approximately 10-12 feet below ground surface (bgs) The wells will <br /> be screened from approximately 5 feet below ground surface to 10 <br /> feet below where groundwater is first encountered Field procedures <br /> for groundwater monitoring well installation are provided as <br /> . Attachment B <br /> • Soil Sample Analysis.
