(AGE). The Report recommends the following actions,to
which I have included my comments:
• ,No further subsurface investigation at this time... ": It is my understanding that your request pertains
to cessation of the quarterly monitoring, which will be noticed in another letter.
• "Rescission of Cleanup and Abatement Order (C&A) 5-00-700... ": Rescission of CAO 5-00-700 will
occur during the Regional Board meeting following the issuance of the No Further Action (closure)
letter.
"...closure as a low risk groundwater site... ": The site is currently being considered for low risk
closure. In addition, as part of our 30-day public notification and comment requirement:
1. You are to submit a property parcel map depicting your site, the extent of your identified
hydrocarbon plume, and all parcels located within 500 feet of your site and/or your defined
hydrocarbon plume. For each parcel, located within 500 feet of your site and your defined
hydrocarbon plume, you are to provide the parcel number, the name of the owner for each parcel,
and a mailing address for each owner.
2. You are to submit a public notification document(Fact Sheet) for our review. The Fact Sheet
should contain a very brief site history, discussing investigative and remedial activities conducted
at the site, current site conditions, and your findings that the residual constituents mass remaining
in soil and groundwater beneath your site does not pose a threat the human health or waters of the
state. The Fact sheet must also state your intent to obtain site closure from the Regional Board,
and include a method by which any interested individuals may obtain additional information
regarding the site or make comments regarding the possible closure of the site. I have informed
your consultant, AGE, of our requirements. Once we receive the requested information,we will
complete our review for closure for your site.
• "Abandon monitoring wells NIW-I through M6V--20... ": Since some of your wells may be transferred
to another site investigation, I cannot concur to this request at this time. Please conclude your
California Environmental Protection Agency
0d Recycled Paper
