Flag City Chevron
6421 Capitol Avenue,Lodi -2 - 28 February 2002
Therefore, following destruction of RDW-1 on 6 March 2002,please complete the following items and submit
an addendum to the FRP Addendum on or before 1 July 2002:
• Collect monthly water level measurements for March,April,May, and June, and prepare monthly
contour maps to show groundwater flow directions and gradients for all five informal water bearing
zones. Using the C-C' cross-section(included as Figure 4 in the FRP Addendum Report), show vertical
groundwater gradients at monitoring wells MW-13,MW-11, and MW-9 for the four months.
• Using the March 2002 groundwater analytical results, estimate the remaining mass of petroleum
hydrocarbon contamination and MtBE in groundwater outside the influence of the on-site groundwater
extraction and treatment system.
• Evaluate in-situ remedial methods to reduce MtBE groundwater contamination including bio sparging
and ozone sparging. Complete a cost analysis of remedial methods evaluated including groundwater
extraction and treatment, and estimate the length of time each method may take to achieve water quality
objectives.
• Provide a plan of work and schedule to implement the best available technology and remediate MtBE
and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in groundwater.
Please notify me at least five business days prior to any site work or sampling.
