(AGE)has prepared this letter in response to a California <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)letter dated 10 September <br /> 2001. The RWQCB letter states that additional monitoring is required for Flag City Chevron NPDES <br /> permit development. Therefore, in accordance with Attachments I through IV in the RWQCB letter, <br /> the following additional monitoring requirements will apply for the NPDES permit: <br /> 1. Additional grab water samples will be collected quarterly from ground water pump-and-treat <br /> effluent for four consecutive quarters. The samples will be transmitted to McCampbell <br /> Analytical Inc. (MAI) and analyzed for the following: <br /> • Volatile organic compounds by EPA Method 8260; <br /> • Semi-volatile organic compounds by EPA Method 8270; <br /> • Pesticides and polychlorinated bi-phenols (PCBs)by EPA Method 8080 <br /> • Inorganic compounds including Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Asbestos, Barium, <br /> Beryllium, Cadmium, total Chromium, Chromium VI, Copper, Cyanide, Fluoride, <br /> Iron,Lead,Mercury,Manganese,Nickel,Selenium,Silver,Thallium,Tributyltin and <br /> Zinc by various EPA Methods; <br /> • General mineral constituents including Ammonia, Chloride, Hardness, Foaming <br /> Agents,Nitrite as Nitrogen, total Phosphorus, Sulfate, Sulfide and Sulfite by various <br /> EPA Methods. <br /> AGE proposes to conduct the additional effluent monitoring sampling on 07 March 2002(1 <br /> Quarter 2002), 06 June 2002 (2"a Quarter 2002), 05 September 2002 (3d Quarter 2002) and <br /> 05 December 2002(41 Quarter 2002);all the above referenced samples will be reported in a <br /> quarterly report to the RWQCB by 15 April 2002, 15 July 2002, 15 October 2002 and <br /> 837 Shaw Road,Stockton,California 95215 <br /> Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118 <br />
