22 October 2001
AGE-Project No. 96-0232
15 January 2003, respectively.
2. A down-stream receiving water sampling station,R-2, is located approximately 80 feet west
of the point of discharge. Sampling station R-2 was approved by the RWQCB during a site
inspection on 22 November 2000. In accordance with Attachment I, additional grab water
samples will be collected from R-2 on a quarterly basis. The samples will be analyzed by in
accordance with the analytical scheme outlined above (Item No. 1). Monthly down-stream
receiving water flow measurements will be measured at R-2 using a Global Water flowprobe.
Sampling and reporting will be as detailed above(Item No. 1).
An up-stream receiving water sampling station,R-1, is located approximately 50 feet east of
the point of discharge. Sampling station R-1 was approved by the RWQCB during a site
inspection on 22 November 2000.Since 06 December 2000,AGE has performed ten monthly
monitoring events of receiving water at sampling stations R-1 and R-2. However, water
monitoring could not be performed at station R-1 during eight of the 10 monthly monitoring
events because there was no upstream water flow.Because upstream flow at R-1 has been dry
on eight of ten occurrences, AGE suspects that future upstream flow will only occur a few
months of the year. Therefore,AGE requests that the additional receiving water requirements
should not apply towards station R-1.
3. Because Flag City Chevron is classified as a minor discharger, analysis of dioxin and
dibenzofuran congeners will be performed twice from both the ground water pump-and-treat
effluent and station R-2.The samples will be collected on 07 March 2002("wet weather")and
05 September 2002("dry weather"). Analytical results of the samples will be reported to the
RWQCB in a quarterly report by 15 April 2002 and 15 October 2002, respectively.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at(209)467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc-
TimothyV Vellar
Project Geologist
cc: Mr. Mike Infuma, San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Div.
Mr. Richard Bokides, Bokides Family Limited Partnership
Mr. Scott Rishwain, Rishwain&Rishwain
Mr. Nick Dhingsa,Flag City First Investment
Mr. Steve Coldani, Coldani Realtors Inc
Advanced GeoEnvironnientak Inc
