24 July 2000
AGE-NC Project No. 96-0232
an extended amount of time (approximately 60 days) because of an extensive DWR permitting
process and because the downstream surface water rights are owned by the United States Department
of Fish and Game(USDFG)and will require a separate permitting process. Upon DWR and USDFG
approval, it is AGE's intentions to utilize this canal for surface water discharge from a ground water
extraction and treatment remediation system at the Flag City Chevron site. Due to the permitting
process required with DWR,USDFG and the CRWQCB-CVR, AGE requests an additional 60 days
to access DWR encroachment into the canal and obtain all necessary approvals and permits for
surface water discharge.
