FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT Section 11400 <br /> 4. The system shall be provided with a weather cover and mounting channel unit and <br /> shall be completely treated with a rust preventative and two coats of baked enamel <br /> paint in color as selected by the Architect and where required shall be removable. <br /> 5. The condensing units shall be factory installed and factory wired to a common load <br /> center panel for one point field electrical connection. All wiring from the condensing <br /> units to the load center shall be through an electrical raceway. <br /> 6. The load center control panel shall be U.L listed and N.E.0 approved and <br /> weatherproof with individual breakers for each condensing unit and time clocks. All <br /> contractors, time clocks, relays, automatic starting switches and any necessary <br /> electrical components shall be installed with the load center panel. <br /> 7. All condensing units shall be manufactured by Copeland. <br /> 8. The system shall incorporate the following items: <br /> a. Flexible vibration eliminator in the suction line. <br /> b. Liquid line sight glass. <br /> c. Liquid line dehydrator filter of ample capacity. <br /> d. Suction line filter of ample capacity. <br /> e. Thermal expansion valve for evaporator. <br /> f. Heat exchanger for evaporator. <br /> g. Refrigeration lines, hard copper Type"L"with "Silfos" brazed joints. <br /> h. Defrost timers and interlock relays as required. <br /> I. Winter control package. <br /> 10. Circuit breakers, automatic starting switch, motor protectors and pressure limit <br /> switches, all enclosed with interconnecting wires installed in a control panel ready for <br /> final connection by the Electrical Contractor. <br /> 11. Drain line heaters with insulated covers for all drain lines from unit evaporators to <br /> nearest indirect waste (floor sink). <br /> 12. Start-up, adjustment, and one year parts and labor warranty. <br /> Five year warranty on motor compressors. <br /> I. Refrigeration Piping: <br /> 1. Copper tubing shall conform to ASTM B88, piping shall be type'L'ARC, <br /> refrigerant piping shall be exposed to view as required by the American <br /> Standard Safety Code for Mechanical Refrigeration. <br /> 2. Suction lines shall be sized to give a minimum pressure drop from evaporator to <br /> machine of 2 lbs. For high temperature systems and 1 lbs. for low temperature <br /> systems and shall allow gas velocities of not less that 750 FPM in horizontal <br /> runs and 1500 FPM in vertical risers. Liquid lines shall be sized to give <br /> maximum pressure drop of 3 lbs. from receiver to evaporator. <br /> 3. Tubing shall be graded to prevent trapping of oil. <br /> 4. Refrigerant piping shall be properly secured with 'Uni-Strut' clamps located to <br /> conform to proper refrigerant piping practice. <br /> 5. Insulation of refrigerant lines : <br /> 6. Refrigerant suction lines outside of refrigerated compartments, not run in conduit <br /> shall be insulated with Armstrong FR/ARMAFLEX22. Minimum thickness of 1/2" <br /> for medium temperatures and%"for low temperature units. Slitting of insulation <br /> shall not be permitted. <br /> N. Testing and Dehydrating: <br /> 1.
