Siler
of Engineering-Science, Inc. and has the following comments.
It is the recommendation of PHS/EHD that future analytical
laboratory analyses be prepared by California Department of
Health Services certified laboratories familiar with standards
clearly described in the LUFT Manual. Such standards as a site
specific case narrative, EPA number for each test run, correct
detection limits, and test-specific explanation for deviations
from established protocol should be included at the time of
report submittal.
If it is your intention to use a laboratory outside of
California, please include in your report the exact method of
transport for the samples and the quality of the samples upon
receipt at the lab.
Although the explanation given for dilution factors is acceptable
at this time, be advised that only dilution factors and detection
limits listed in the LUFT Manual can be used as evidence for
consideration for site closure at some future date.
Please contact Michael Infurna, REHS, of my staff
at (209) 468-3454 for an appointment to witness your next
quarterly sampling event at least 48 hours in advance.
Jogi Khanna M.D. , M.P.H.
Health Of cer
urie A.
