DECEMBER 1994
QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT (CONTINUED)
• Method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and
any contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water:
No released hazardous substances or contaminated soil, groundwater, or surface
water were handled at the site between June and December 1994 During the
fueling system closure in May 1991, excavated soils were observed to be clean,
and, consequently, placed back into the tank pit and fuel line excavations.
During the recent site investigation, a total of 24 55-gallon DOT-approved
drums of drill cuttings (soil) were generated. In addition, 3 drums of
groundwater were generated as a result of purging of the groundwater
monitoring wells during the December 19, 1994 sampling Greyhound is
currently in the process of arranging proper disposal of all investigation-derived
wastes and will inform EHD of their final disposition
• Manifest required for transport of hazardous substances:
Not Applicable.
• Monitoring well data:
The physical data obtained during the most recent sampling event and all
previous monitoring and sampling events are summarized in Table 1 Figure 1
is a site map showing the monitoring well locations No free-product or
hydrocarbon sheen has been observed in any of the on-site monitoring wells to
date Figure 2 shows groundwater elevations measured in December 1994
• Analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling:
Results of the December 1994 quarterly sampling event are summarized in
Table 2 and Figure 3 None of the BTEX parameters were detected in any of
the samples TPH-D was detected in the groundwater samples collected from
MW-1 (0 05 mg/1), MW-2 (0 05 mg/1), and MW-3 (0 07 mg/1)
• A site map showing the "zero line" of contamination, and changes in
analyses and gradient measurements over the last quarter:
Figure 3 shows analytical results from the groundwater samples A "zero line"
for groundwater contamination was not included in Figure 3 because BTEX
parameters were not detected in any of the samples and TPH-D was reported at
or slightly above the method detection limit in the groundwater samples
collected on December 19, 1994. Groundwater elevations are shown in Figure
PARESSYROIIVOLI WP1725218108969108969L07 DOC R2
3
