DECEMBER 1994 <br /> QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT (CONTDWM) <br /> Soil samples, collected at 5-feet sample intervals, were submitted for analytical <br /> testing for BTEX and TPH-D concentrations A total of 71 soil samples were <br /> analyzed as part of this investigation Total BTEX concentrations ranged from <br /> non-detect to 3,910 µg/kg TPH-D concentrations ranged from non-detect to <br /> 16,000 mg/kg A report summarizing the results of this investigation was <br /> submitted to EHD in November 1994 <br /> Greyhound received a letter from EHD, dated August 12, 1994, requesting that <br /> Greyhound return to a quarterly monitoring/sampling program, due to concerns <br /> about rising water levels beneath the site and the detection of TPH-D in one of <br /> the groundwater samples collected in June 1994 As a result, Greyhound has <br /> reestablished a quarterly program <br /> • Proposed continuing or next phase of investigation: <br /> Greyhound has submitted the second Supplemental Site Assessment and <br /> determined that an additional off-site monitoring well may be required to <br /> delineate the extent of soil contamination west of the property Greyhound will <br /> submit a work plan to EHD for the installation of the additional monitoring well <br /> shortly <br /> • Method of cleanup proposed or implemented to date: <br /> Based on the investigations conducted to date, no cleanup has been proposed or <br /> implemented However, upon review of analytical data from the proposed final <br /> off-site monitoring well installation, Greyhound will prepare and submit a <br /> feasibility study which will identify and evaluate at least two alternatives for site <br /> remediation in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 23, <br /> Section 2725. <br /> • Time schedules for the completion of the investigation of the site and <br /> remediation: <br /> Greyhound is currently in the process of preparing a work plan and securing the <br /> required permits for the off-site well installation In the interim, Greyhound <br /> proposes to continue the groundwater monitoring and quarterly sampling <br /> program <br /> i <br /> PARESSYR011vOL1 WP1725218108969108969L07 DOC R2 <br /> 2 <br />
