Pond Closure <br /> A. Construction - the water treatment plant <br /> is scheduled to be substantially completed <br /> by July 10 , 1987 . <br /> B. Training and Start-Up - The start-up of <br /> the water treating plant, with vender <br /> service engineer is scheduled for weeks <br /> of July 20 and July 27 . Operator training <br /> will also take place at this time. In- <br /> structions will be provided by Vender (IDI ) <br /> and Marley' s consultant (Black & Veatch) . <br /> C. Pond Water Removal - It has been determined <br /> that it will be necessary to remove the fine <br /> silt from the pond water before it is treated <br /> in the Ion Exchange Unit. Alum will be added <br /> to the pond water at a rate of 25-35 mg/1. <br /> After a mixing period the water will be left <br /> undisturbed for several days while the silt <br /> settles out.
