The Board, in a public meeting, heard and considered all comments pertaining <br /> to the discharge. <br /> 14. This Order shall serve as an NPDES permit pursuant to Section 402 of the <br /> Clean Water Act, or amendments thereto, and shall take effect ten days from <br /> the date of hearing, provided EPA has no objections. <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that The Marley Cooling Tower Company, in order to meet the <br /> provisions contained in Division 7 of the California Water Code and regulations <br /> adopted thereunder and the provisions of the Clean Water Act and regulations and <br /> guidelines adopted thereunder, shall comply with the following: <br /> A. Effluent Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharge of an effluent in excess of the following limits is prohibi- <br /> ted: <br /> Daily <br /> Constituents Units Maximum <br /> Chromium VI mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Chromium mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Arsenic mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Copper mg/l 0.05 <br /> 2. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor grezter than 8.5. <br /> 3. The 30-day average daily discharge shall not exceed 0.278 million gallons. <br /> 4. By-pass or overflow of untreated or partially treated contaminated storm- <br /> water is prohibited. <br /> C. Sludge Disposal : <br /> 1. Residues from the ion exchange treatment process, sludges, and other <br /> solids removed from the contaminated stormwater shall be tested and <br /> disposed of in a manner approved by the Exeuctive Officer. <br /> D. Receiving Water Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, scum, foam, floating or <br /> suspended material in the receiving waters or surface water drainage <br /> courses. <br />
