WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS -5- <br /> THE MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 3. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor greater than 8.5. <br /> 4. The 30-day average daily discharge shall not exceed 0.37 million gallons. <br /> 5. Survival of test fishes in 96-hour bioassays of undiluted effluent shall be <br /> no less than: <br /> Minimum for any one bioassay. ... ... ..... .. ...70% <br /> Median for any three or more bioassays. ..... .90% <br /> 6. By-pass or overflow of untreated or partially treated contaminated storm- <br /> water or ground water is prohibited. <br /> 7. Discharge of untreated or partially treated contaminated stormwater or <br /> ground water to land is prohibited. <br /> C. Sludge Disposal : <br /> 1. Residues from the ion exchange treatment process, sludges, and other <br /> solids removed from the contaminated waters shall be tested and disposed <br /> of in compliance with Subchapter 15, Title 23, California Administrative <br /> Code. <br /> D. Receiving Water Limitations-Stockton Diverting Canal : <br /> 1. Concentrations for the following constituents shall not be exceeded at tn2 <br /> downstream monitoring station: <br /> Constituent Units Concentration <br /> Copper ug/1 6.5 <br /> Trivalent Chromium ug/l 50 <br /> Hexavalent Chromium ug/l 11 <br /> Arsenic ug/l 10 <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 500 <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, scum, foam, floating or <br /> suspended material in the receiving waters or surface water drainage <br /> courses. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause concentrations of any materials in the <br /> receiving waters which are deleterious to human, animal , aquatic, or plant <br /> life. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable discoloration of <br /> the receiving waters or surface water drainage courses. <br />
