S E C 0 R <br /> Ms. Victoria McCartney <br /> December 30, 2003 <br /> Page 2 <br /> SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> As required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 Code of Federal Regulations Section <br /> Occupational Health and Safety Administration Cal-OSHA) "Hazardous <br /> 1910.120), and by California Occup y ( <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (California Code of Regulations Title 8, <br /> Section 5192), SECOR will prepare, or modify the existing, site-specific health and safety plan <br /> (SHSP) prior to the commencement of fieldwork. Field staff and contractors will review the SHSP <br /> before beginning field operations at the site. <br /> ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> i <br /> Assessment activities will consist of the following: 1)The completion of one CPT boring to assess <br /> soil conditions: 2) and the completion of one direct push boring to collect discrete ground water <br /> samples. <br /> I <br /> Permitting <br /> The applicable permits will be obtained from the City of Stockton and the County, as necessary, prior <br /> to commencing. <br /> CPT Boring and Sample Collection <br /> One CPT boring will be advanced to approximately 90 feet below ground surface (bgs) to assess soil <br /> conditions. Adjacent to the CPT borehole, a direct-push borehole will be advanced to collect <br /> groundwater samples in discrete water baring zones identified by the CPT boring. <br /> Laboratory Analysis <br /> Groundwater samples will be submitted to a California State certified laboratory and analyzed for the <br /> presence of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), total petroleum hydrocarbons diesel <br /> (TPHd), and total hydrocarbons motor oil (TPHmo) by EPA method 8015, and benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MtBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), <br /> diisopropyl ether (D1PE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (EtBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1, 2 — <br /> Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and ethylene dibromide (EDB)by EPA method 8260. <br /> Schedule <br /> SECOR is prepared to initiate fieldwork within 1 to 3 weeks following the approval of this Work Plan <br /> addendum by the County. <br /> Chevron\90557\REPORTS\90557 CPT boring addem.doc SECOR International Incorporated <br />
