( Page 1 of 1
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: George Forsythe [gforsythe@secor.com]
Sent: Thursday, September 01, 2005 2:52 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: Rouse, Darin L (DRouse); David Evans
Subject: Site conditions former Chevron station #90775
Vicki;
In regard to former Chevron station #90557 located at 139 South Center Street in Stockton,
CA.
My understanding of this site is:
1) Chevron never owned the site. They just leased the property while they
operated a service station at the site.
2) The site was and is currently owned by the City of Stockton.
3) The soil currently stockpiled on site was placed there by the City of Stockton
and represents material excavated from another City of Stockton site.
Therefore, assuming the above assumptions are accurate, Chevron or SECOR has no
authority to limit access to the site by constructing a fence.
In regards to the damaged well monument over monitoring well MW-15D. It is my,
understanding that the monument was damaged by City of Stockton personnel during
deposition of the current soil stockpile. Please give me a call at 559.271.2650 Ex. 235 if you
have any questions or have any additional information concerning this site.
Thank You;
George Forsythe
George Forsythe,P.G.,C.E.G.,C.Hg.
Senior Geologist
SECOR International Inc.
Office 559.271.2650 Ex. 235
Cell 559.289.4096
email gforsythc(ii,)secor.com
9/1/2005
