The thirteen and
three-quarter inch boreholes will be advanced to steel conductor casing
depth. For the five wells, the depth of steel conductor casing will range
between approximately 80 to 160 feet below land surface (bls) . The steel
conductor casing with welded connections will be pressure grouted in place
using a stab-in cementing shoe welded to the bottom of the steel conductor.
The driller will provide welding equipment and welder. The monitor and
reclamation wells will be constructed using 4-inch ID PVC blank and slotted
well casing. Monitor wells will be constructed with 10 to 20 feet of
slotted well casing. The depth of completion of slotted casing will range
from 80 to 160 feet bls. A sand filter pack will be gravity placed to
approximately the bottom of the steel conductor and a bentonite seal
installed above the sand filter pack. The monitor wells will be developed
prior to well seal emplacement by airlifting. Contractor shall set
dedicated 1/2-horsepower submersible pumps once the bentonite seal is
emplaced. A traffic rated monitor well vault will be installed at land
surface.
Layne Western Company, Inc. , will be the drilling contractor.
Driller will provide ample visquene plastic sheeting for ground cover at
each borehole.
It is anticipated that drilling and well construction activities will be
completed within approximately 30 days of the start date.
If you have any questions, or require further discussion, please contact
me.
Sincerely,
HARGIS + ASSOCIATES, INC.
JAG
Kenneth R.
