3.4.3 Infection System Monitoring
During the pilot study, MCTC or MCTC' s representative will monitor the
injection rate at the two injection wells. Flow meters will be used to
measure .the volume of water injected. The initial flow meter measurements
will be recorded after the gravity feed injection system has been on-line
for approximately 24 hours. Two additional flow meter measurements will
be obtained during the middle and near the end of the pilot test. The
measurements from the flow meters will be used to estimate the total
volume of injected water between successive flow meter measurements.
Results from the pilot study will be used to estimate the water injection
rate to be anticipated during the full-scale flushing operation. An
additional flow meter will be installed and monitored, to determine the
total injection water flow rate of the full-scale flushing system.
11654.652 3-8
